Jorge Masvidal has reignited his rivalry with Nate Diaz, calling for a third fight, this time under Muay Thai rules with 4-ounce MMA gloves, and floating Netflix as the stage.
Speaking to MMA Junkie Radio in an interview published Feb. 16, 2026, Masvidal said the pair have already done MMA and boxing, so he wants to “go full Muay” next. When the co-host suggested doing it “at Netflix,” Masvidal jumped on it and delivered a direct message to Diaz that doubled as a pitch to any buyer watching.
“Nate D, if you’re watching this, George just had a great idea. We could go throw down on Netflix, Muay Thai though. None of this hugging, none of these big gloves. Let’s do Muay Thai, MMA gloves. That’s it, bro. Let’s fight. … It’s all these big-ass 12-ounce boxing gloves. Let’s put them 4 ounces on and go all out,” Masvidal said.
Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal in Muay Thai
Masvidal’s angle is clear: no wrestling, no clinch-heavy stalling, no pillow-sized gloves, just small gloves and a ruleset that keeps the action upright and punishes shortcuts. He also framed it as the natural next chapter after their combat-sports tour, referencing that they’ve already shared the cage and the ring.
The history matters here because it’s already 1-1 across disciplines. Masvidal stopped Diaz via doctor stoppage (TKO) after Round 3 in their UFC 244 “BMF” main event in November 2019. Diaz got the win back in their boxing rematch on July 6, 2024, taking a majority decision (98-92, 97-93, 95-95) at Honda Center in Anaheim.
In the same MMA Junkie appearance, Masvidal also claimed he “straight up won” their original MMA fight and blamed the judging environment in California due to a doctors stoppage. That complaint, plus the score being settled in boxing, helps explain why he’s shopping a third format: he wants another high-profile event, but on terms he believes remove the usual debate.

Masvidal didn’t announce a date, promotion, or signed agreement with Diaz, and he presented the Netflix idea as an off-the-cuff platform suggestion rather than a finalized plan. For now, it’s a public callout with a specific rule request, Muay Thai, 4-ounce gloves, aimed straight at Diaz.
