Josh Alexander Says “I Lived” After Knee Surgery

Josh Alexander is on the mend after knee surgery — and he’s already joking around with fans while recovering.

The AEW star recently revealed he needed surgery after suffering a serious knee injury, forcing him to step away from the ring and miss scheduled matches. Now, there’s a positive update — his wife Jade Chung confirmed the procedure went smoothly by sharing a photo of Alexander resting in a hospital bed after surgery. Along with the photo, Chung let fans know the operation went exactly as planned.

“Surgery was a success!”

Alexander didn’t waste time chiming in himself — and even while recovering, he kept things light by using a funny face filter in the photo and posting a short message about making it through the procedure.

“I lived. And I’m beautiful.”

The surgery comes after Alexander was forced to pull out of the ROH x MLP Global Wars show due to the knee injury. At the time, he revealed the damage was serious enough to require surgery and leave his return date up in the air.

The injury was a tough blow, especially since Alexander has been heavily featured as part of The Don Callis Family in AEW. Since joining the group, he’s been positioned as one of its key members alongside Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis.

Right now, there’s still no official timeline for when Alexander will return to the ring, but the successful surgery is a big first step in his recovery. For now, he’s focused on healing — and clearly keeping his humor intact while doing it.

Josh Alexander getting through surgery is good news, but his time away from the ring could shake things up in AEW while he recovers.

How long do you think Josh Alexander will be out of action, and who should step up while he’s sidelined? Drop your thoughts in the comments and share your take.
