Kane Williamson, a renowned cricketer from New Zealand who has been captain for so long, will not be a part of the second test in the 3 match series against India. The right-handed batsman aged 34 years and the leading test run scorer for New Zealand, did not play the first match either which the guests won by 8 wickets over host in Bengaluru on Sunday (October 20).
Kane has still not traveled to India for the ongoing Test Series. With the cricket board of New Zealand stating on Tuesday (October 22) that Williamson will miss the second Test, it has been decided he will still be undergoing rehab for his groin strain.
The star batter who sustained the injury while playing the two-match Test series in Galle last month against Sri Lanka, has opted to stay back in New Zealand in a bid to get fit.
