The Sacramento Kings shared an encouraging update on Keegan Murray, who has been sidelined since February 25 with a left ankle sprain.
The team said Murray is making “good progress” in his recovery and has begun returning to contact work, indicating he could be back in action before the regular season concludes.
The update was reported Wednesday via James Ham of ESPN 1320.
Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook continues to deal with a foot issue. The veteran guard underwent an MRI on his right foot, which revealed joint irritation in his big toe.
He will remain sidelined for now, with the Kings noting that further updates will be provided when appropriate.
The Washington Wizards also issued a scheduled medical update on Kyshawn George, who suffered a partial UCL tear in his left elbow earlier this month.
After being reevaluated, elbow specialist Dr. Keith Meister confirmed that George has a Grade 2 distal UCL tear.
For now, the Wizards will continue to treat the injury “conservatively” and plan to reassess the 22-year-old forward again next Wednesday.
ICYMI: The NBPA seemed to imply in a statement earlier this week that Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is healthy enough to play, but that’s not the case, according to head coach Doc Rivers. That + more injury updates from around the NBA. https://t.co/CJQk0FnjRG
