Next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite is a big one, and when Maximum Carnage returns, so will Kenny Omega.
During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that Omega will be returning yet again and likely going after MJF. In a vignette that played tonight, Omega said he’s been wondering what it would be like to challenge MJF, and what it would be like if he could become champion yet again.
Speaking of MJF, he will be putting his newly won AEW World Championship on the line. MJF and Bandido will clash in the ring after clashing on the mic tonight. The pair met in the ring and exchanged words in a segment that ended with MJF getting back his Dynamite Diamond Ring briefly, hitting Jon Cruz with it. Bandido then took back the ring and hit both Cruz and MJF with a 21 Plex.
AEW Maximum Carnage is set to take place on January 14 and January 16, 2026. The event will also be filmed at the Arizona Financial Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. The fully updated card for the special episodes includes:
- AEW World Championship: MJF (c) vs. Bandido
- Kris Statlander & Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) vs. Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue & Thekla)
