Kenya 7s crush Belgium to stay unbeaten in SVNS 2 alongside USA and Germany

Kenya 7S made it two wins from two at the SVNS 2 Nairobi, thrashing Belgium 33–0 at Nyayo National Stadium to remain unbeaten in the competition.

Shujaa started on the front foot, with Samuel Asati rising from the back of the scrum to touch down for the opening try and a 7–0 lead.

The second try followed soon after when Chrissant Ojwang burst through the defence for his second of the day, which was converted to make it 14–0.

From a quick tap penalty, Nygel Amaitsa fed the charging Vincent Onyala for Kenya’s third. Patrick Odongo then joined the scoring party, diving over under the posts to stretch the lead to 26–0, taking his day-one tally to three tries.

Belgium defended bravely in the second half, but Floyd Wabwire added the only try of the period as Shujaa sealed a 33–0 victory.

Germany outlast rival

Germany fought hard to beat their opponents 26–17 in a high-intensity contest. Tries from Lachlan Kratz, Kalin Sager, and Ethan Turner were not enough, as Germany responded through Niklas Koch, who scored twice. Late tries from Tim Lichtenberg (12’) and Jakob Dipper (14’) completed the comeback for Germany.

USA snatch late win

The USA landed a last-minute try to edge Uruguay 17–14, handing their fellow Americans a second consecutive defeat while maintaining their unbeaten run.
