Kevin Owens may be out of action, but he’s still going to be part of the WrestleMania 42 spotlight.
It’s been confirmed that Owens will be in Las Vegas during WrestleMania weekend, making a public appearance at WWE World. The annual fan event is set to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 16 through April 20, bringing together fans and top WWE names for meet-and-greets and special appearances.
Owens has been announced alongside Sami Zayn and recently retired AJ Styles as part of the convention lineup. While he won’t be stepping into the ring, his presence keeps him connected to one of WWE’s biggest weekends of the year.
Owens hasn’t competed since Elimination Chamber 2025, where his last match took place before plans for a major WrestleMania program were halted. His rivalry with Randy Orton had been building toward a high-profile clash at WrestleMania 41, but those plans were scrapped when Owens required neck surgery.
Since then, updates on his recovery have been limited. However, Owens did offer a small glimpse of progress when he shared footage of himself doing cardio at the WWE Performance Center in November 2025.
Outside of the ring, Owens is already set for another role in WWE’s expanding content slate. He has been confirmed as a coach for the upcoming season of WWE LFG (Legends and Future Greats), which premieres on A&E on April 26.
As of now, there’s still no confirmed timeline for his in-ring return. Reports indicate that a comeback isn’t expected in the immediate future, but WWE remains hopeful he could return before the end of the year if recovery continues to go well.
Even without stepping between the ropes, Owens’ involvement in WrestleMania weekend shows he’s still very much part of WWE’s plans moving forward.
