The Men in Green haven’t had a great time in international cricket over the past few years.

The Pakistan cricket team, of late, has failed to deliver meaningful results and suffered some embarrassing losses as well.

The Men in Green haven’t had a great time in international cricket over the past few years as they were recently beaten 0-2 by Bangladesh in a home Test series. The Bangla Tigers made history by sweeping Pakistan in a Test series for the first time.

This was also the first time Pakistan haven’t registered a win in their last ten home Tests with their previous win coming way back in February 2021.

It got extended to 11 after suffering another historic loss when they conceded the first game of the three-match Pakistan vs England Test series in a rather disappointing manner. In the process, Pakistan became the first-ever team to lose a Test match despite scoring over 500 runs in the first innings.

Kevin Pietersen sheds light on Pakistan cricket’s downfall

Following the recent setbacks in Pakistan cricket, former head coach Mickey Arthur voiced his concerns about the team’s downward spiral. Sharing his views on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Arthur highlighted the issues as a potential cause of the team’s underwhelming performances.

Echoing on the same lines, Former England batter Kevin Pietersen, who has briefly played in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for three seasons with Quetta Gladiators, echoed Arthur’s sentiments. Pietersen too highlighted the potential causes of concern while he also acknowledged the abundance of raw talent in the country.

“From my time playing the PSL, the players don’t train properly and there’s way too much emotion involved in the win or loss. No consistency off the field, so how do you expect it on the field? And I agree, the talent is UNREAL!” wrote Pietersen in his reply to the Arthur’s post.
