Kieron Pollard shows he’s still got it; Smashes 4 sixes in an over in CPL

West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard may have retired from international cricket but he yet again proved that he’s still got it by playing an incredible innings for the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).The all-rounder played a blistering knock 52 runs against the St. Lucia Kings (SLK) and helped his side to easily chase 27 runs in 12 balls.

Pollard had already reached 28 runs off 13 balls before the ball was handed to Matthew Forde to bowl the 19th over of the innings. In the over, Pollard destroyed his fellow countryman for 4 sixes to take the match away from SLK.

Forde started the over well by bowling 2 dots in the first 3 balls with the second one being smashed for a six. However, 3 consecutive sixes on the final 3 balls of the over, completely turned the match into the favour of TKR. With the final six, Pollard also completed his first fifty in the CPL since 2021.

With just 3 runs needed to win, Alzarri Joseph cut Akeal Hosein for a boundary and secured the victory for TKR.

Pollard’s brutal assault reminded the fans that even though he retired from international cricket a long time ago, he is still capable of dismantling opposing bowling attacks.
