Batting first, KKR posted a competitive 206/4 in their 20 overs, riding on powerful cameos from Andre Russell (57* off 25) and young Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44 off 31).

Rahmanullah Gurbaz (35) and Ajinkya Rahane (30) provided a steady foundation at the top, while Russell launched a brutal assault in the death overs, striking five sixes to give KKR late momentum. Rajasthan’s bowlers struggled for breakthroughs, with Theekshana and Parag picking up a wicket apiece, while Archer took one scalp.

In reply, Rajasthan’s chase got off to a shaky start, losing quick wickets in the powerplay. Jaiswal showed some resistance with a quickfire 34, but Moeen Ali’s double strike and disciplined spells from KKR’s bowlers left the Royals reeling at 71/5 by the eighth over.

Riyan Parag’s six consecutive sixes

Then came Riyan Parag’s explosive intervention, an astonishing display of power hitting that saw him smash six consecutive sixes, five of them in a single Moeen Ali over and one more against Varun Chakaravarthy. His 95 off just 45 balls (with 6 fours and 8 sixes) gave Royals a sudden boost of hope.

Shimron Hetmyer (29) and Shubham Dubey (25*) added useful runs, and Jofra Archer’s cameo pushed the game into the final over. However, Vaibhav Arora held his nerve, running out Archer on the last ball to secure a thrilling win. The victory keeps KKR alive in the playoff race, while RR will take pride in Parag’s standout performance despite the heartbreak.
