Cricketer KL Rahul has won hearts yet again. The wicketkeeper batsman has stepped into philanthropy with his newest venture. Rahul and actress wife Athiya Shetty have decided to auction off cricket memorabilia for helping hearing impaired and intellectually disabled children through the Vipla foundation.
The couple has roped in big cricketers from India and outside. Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, and the Lucknow Super Giants, in addition to international stars like Jos Buttler, Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, and Nicholas Pooran have come together for this initiative.

The bollywood-cricket couple took to social media to share the upcoming auction. This charity auction is scheduled to take place on August 23, according to ANI.
Athiya Shetty and her family, including father Suneil Shetty had been a part of the Vipla foundation for a long time.Speaking about his experience and the motivation to contribute to the cause, Rahul reminisced about his first visit to the BKC school for these children with special needs. Here’s what he said:
“My first visit to the school was very emotional and the children inspired me to contribute in whatever way I could to this great initiative that Athiya’s family has been part of. The auction is our way of supporting the incredible work that the Vipla Foundation does in providing a great learning environment to children.” Rahul said.
“When I reached out to the cricket fraternity, they were just as supportive in donating their precious cricket items for this great cause. By participating in the auction and bidding for the memorabilia, each bidder is joining us in making a difference in the lives of these truly special children.” He added.

The auction will feature 27 distinct cricket memorabilia items, such as jerseys, gloves, and bats, all contributed by cricket legends. These unique collectibles will be on display for enthusiasts and collectors to bid on, offering a chance to own a piece of cricket history.
A spokesperson for the Shetty family emphasized the importance of the auction in a recent statement. Athiya Shetty reminisced about her childhood experiences with the foundation and shared her wish to honor her grandmother’s legacy by perpetuating her philanthropic efforts.
