Star Indian player KL Rahul opened up about entering the mega auctions of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and shared that he is looking for a team where he can experience freedom and a good atmosphere. These statements have come after Rahul broke up with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
“I wanted to start fresh, I wanted to explore my options and I wanted to go and play where I could find some freedom and the team atmosphere would be something lighter. Sometimes you just need to move away and find something good for yourself,” said KL Rahul during an interview with Star Sports.
Rahul also stated about his desire to make a comeback in the Indian T20 squad and has a solid belief that IPL 2025 is going to be extremely important for that. Rahul accepted the fact that his current state might not be the best, but he is keen and looking for his comeback.

“I’ve been out of the T20 team for a while. I know where I stand as a player, I know what I need to do to get back so I’ll look forward to this IPL season to give me that platform to go back and enjoy my cricket. My main aim is to get back into the T20 team,” he added.
