Kohli & Sharma’s Priceless Reactions: Fan’s Tree Climb

On July 4, Mumbai’s Marine Drive was packed with jubilant fans celebrating Team India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory. Following their thrilling win over South Africa, the Indian cricket team invited fans to join their victory parade, resulting in an overwhelming turnout. Enthusiastic supporters filled the streets, dancing and chanting “India, India” in a vibrant display of national pride.

In a standout moment from the parade, one particularly zealous fan climbed a tree to get a closer look at the players. The fan’s daring move was captured in a viral video, where he can be seen perched on a branch, snapping pictures with his phone. The video quickly gained traction online, with many users finding the scene amusing and commenting on the fan’s dedication.

Meanwhile, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma and featuring star players like Virat Kohli, rode in an open-top bus, waving and cheering back at the adoring crowd as they made their way to Wankhede Stadium. Despite facing delays in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, the team was brought back to India on a charter flight, first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi before heading to Mumbai.

The celebration in Mumbai included a 1 km parade route ending at Wankhede Stadium, where fans were allowed free entry on a first-come, first-served basis. BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who had been present at the final match in Barbados, announced a generous Rs 125 crore cash prize for the team.

India’s victory, marked by a 7-run win over South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29, sparked nationwide celebrations. The parade in Mumbai highlighted the immense love and support for cricket in India, with fans and players alike reveling in the momentous achievement.
