Kusal Mendis Falls to Washington Sundar’s Perfect Yorker

Cricket fans across the globe are enjoying the thrilling second ODI match between India and Sri Lanka. The Colombo crowd is enjoying the high-voltage encounter. In the 19th over, Washington Sundar’s excellent delivery while dismissing the Kusal Mendis grabbed the limelight.

Before that, Washington Sundar dismissed Avishka Fernando in the last ball of the previous over. With that wicket, the Indian bowler broke the 74-run partnership between Fernando and Mendis. As Washington Sundar dismissed two batters in consecutive deliveries, he was on his hat-trick ball. But in the next match, Asalanka hit him for 1 run. Washington Sundar missed his hat-trick.

In the first delivery of the first inning, Mohammed Siraj dismissed Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka on a golden duck. That was an early setback for the team. 

But Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis maintained a good partnership at a crucial moment. Avishka played an exciting knock of 40 runs in 62 balls. On the other hand, Mendis played a knock of 30 runs in 42 balls. In the 25th over, Sri Lanka is standing on 99-3.
