Lexis King Reveals He Suffered A Very Bad Concussion After Recent Injury Scare

Lexis King has broken his silence after the scary moment at an NXT live event, and his own update tells a very different story from the early reports.

Initial reports suggested King avoided a major injury after taking a hard knee to the face during a chaotic match in Lakeland. However, King later took to Instagram to set the record straight and confirm that the situation was more serious than first believed.

King posted a video thanking fans for reaching out and revealed that he actually suffered a concussion during the incident, but has since been medically cleared.

“Hey, guys, I just wanted to give a little update. First off, thank you to everybody who reached out and checked on me. And for those that don’t know, on March 20, I did suffer a really bad concussion. But we’re a little over a week out now and I’ve been cleared. I passed all the tests and feeling better than ever.”

King also used the moment to remind fans just how dangerous the business can be, stressing that safety should always come first inside the ring.

“It is a reminder, though, that this is a very dangerous business. And above all else, our health and safety comes first.”

He didn’t stop there. King also fired off criticism aimed at less experienced wrestlers, suggesting that some performers shouldn’t be stepping into the ring if they can’t protect their opponents.

“It’s also a reminder, too, that some people don’t belong in the ring. And yes, I’m talking about these indie gibronis. They sneak their way into NXT through the WWE ID program, and the first thing they want to do is get all their sh*t in on me.”

Despite the injury scare, King made it clear he plans to keep moving forward and even referenced an upcoming appearance at Madison Square Garden, signaling confidence that he’s ready to get back into action.

“We got a little something coming up next week. Madison Square Garden… the most historic faction in the history professional wrestling is walking into MSG for the first time.”

King’s update shifts the focus away from early reports and puts the spotlight directly on his own words. While the concussion was serious, the fact that he’s already cleared and talking about upcoming appearances suggests the situation turned out far better than many originally feared.

Do you think Lexis King returning so quickly after a concussion is the right move, or should WWE take extra precautions before putting him back in the ring? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
