LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) is heading back to Minnesota with another pivotal night of mixed martial arts action.
LFA CEO Ed Soares confirmed that the promotion will return to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” on Friday, April 17, with a stacked fight card set to take place at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.
The upcoming event, LFA 231: Trembley vs. Johns, presented by Monster Energy, will be headlined by a high-stakes featherweight showdown between former LFA champion Elijah Johns (10-3) and undefeated Minnesota prospect Taner Trembley (6-0).
Doors for the event will open at 4:30 p.m. local time, with the preliminary card beginning at 4:45 p.m., followed by the main card at 8:00 p.m. Fans in the United States can watch the action live on VICE TV at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
Tickets for the event are currently available through Ticketmaster.
“Minnesota has become one of our strongest markets, and this is exactly the type of fight the fans here appreciate,” stated Soares. “You have Elijah Johns, a former champion who knows what it takes to win at the highest level in the LFA, against Taner Trembley, an undefeated local fighter looking to make a statement in front of his home crowd.”
Former Champion Elijah Johns Looks to Reclaim Momentum
Former LFA featherweight champion Elijah Johns (10-3) returns to the LFA cage carrying valuable championship experience and a battle-tested résumé.
Throughout his tenure with LFA, Johns has faced elite opposition and proven he can perform under the bright lights of a main event. Now seeking to climb back into title contention, the seasoned featherweight aims to derail one of Minnesota’s most promising rising stars.
Undefeated Prospect Taner Trembley Faces Career-Defining Test
Standing across from Johns will be hometown favorite Taner Trembley (6-0), who enters the bout with a perfect professional record and growing momentum.
Known for his aggressive fighting style and well-rounded skill set, Trembley has steadily built a reputation as one of the region’s most exciting prospects. Competing in front of a home crowd at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, he will attempt to remain undefeated while earning the biggest victory of his career.
With a former champion seeking redemption and an undefeated local talent chasing a breakout win, LFA 231 promises an action-packed night of elite MMA competition in Minnesota.
