The USC football program got a big commitment for its 2027 recruiting class on Wednesday night.
Four-star cornerback Danny Lang officially committed to USC on Wednesday night. He chose the Trojans over the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Lang is the ninth-best recruit in California and the No. 12 cornerback recruit in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also listed as the No. 104 overall recruit in the nation.
This is a big win for Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley. He got one of the top recruits in California to stay home going into his fifth season as head coach.

Riley helped USC finish the 2025 season with a 9-4 overall record. He’s compiled a 35-18 overall record since taking the USC job ahead of the 2022 season. His best season so far with the program came in 2022 when he went 11-3.
Before joining USC, Riley spent five seasons with Oklahoma, compiling a 55-10 overall record. He led Oklahoma to the College Football Playoff three times during his tenure in Norman.
He has yet to lead USC to the CFP, but he will have an opportunity to do so during the 2026 college football season.
Now that Lang is in the boat, USC has the ninth-highest 2027 recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports. Lang is one of six commits in the class, and that number figures to increase as we get closer to signing day.
USC will open the 2026 season on Aug. 29 against San Jose State.
