Lindsays extend Cross Country sponsorship and add Road races, too
The Lindsays Road Race Series is off and running!
National medals were awarded in the Highlands last weekend as the Inverness Half hosted the Lindsays Scottish Half Marathon Champs.
It was the first of seven events in the calendar year of 2026 to come under the banner of sponsorship support from Lindsays.
We were delighted to confirm last September that our long-time Cross Country Season supporters were now backing the road race scene in Scotland in a national context.
This weekend thus features the Lindsays Young Athletes Road Races at Greenock and that is followed on Saturday 21 March by the Lindsays National Road Relays at Livingston.

‘I am absolutely delighted to confirm this superb sponsorship support from Lindsays,’ said Colin Hutchison, chief executive of scottishathletics.
‘It has now been a long-standing agreement for cross country and I think everyone will have noticed the growth in profile of our big events there.
‘But now the partnership will evolve even more with a series of Scottish Road Race Championships coming under the Lindsays brand and banner.
‘I think it makes perfect sense because the audience – of athletes, clubs, coaches and volunteers – is very similar. I want to thank Lindsays for this support – it is very much appreciated by ourselves and our clubs.’

Ian Beattie, Chief Operating Officer of Lindsays, said: ‘We are excited to not just extend our relationship with scottishathletics, but to expand it.
‘Given the longevity of our sponsorship of the Lindsays Cross Country Season, we are proud to see the way it has grown and the way in which clubs and individual runners enjoy and engage with it,
‘That success makes it a natural step for us to get behind road racing events as well, hopefully ensuring there is a pathway for even more people to share the camaraderie and competition of being part of Scotland’s running community.’
