Liv introduces all-new Embolden E+ eMTB series

Liv Cycling, the company dedicated to getting more women and girls on bikes, today announced the launch of the all-new Embolden E+, a capable and confidence-driven full-power trail e-MTB designed to help riders progress on mountain terrain with greater control, consistency, and fun. Purpose-built to support women as they move beyond beginner routes and into true singletrack, the Embolden E+ combines increased suspension travel, refined geometry, and intuitive electric assistance to make trail riding more accessible—without sacrificing capability or long-term performance.

“With Embolden E+, we weren’t just adding travel or power for the sake of it,” said Cassandra Chou, Liv E-Bike Category Manager. “We focused on how riders actually experience the trail—how the bike behaves under braking, how suspension supports them when fatigue sets in, and how power delivery feels on technical climbs. The updates to the suspension platform, the E+ system, and the overall tuning are all about creating control and confidence that riders can trust as they progress. That’s what keeps women riding, improving, and staying in the sport.”

At the heart of the Embolden E+ is the integrated Giant E+ System, pairing a smooth, responsive motor with intelligent control and long-lasting battery technology. Embolden E+ 0 and 1 feature the new SyncDrive Pro 3X motor, delivering up to 100Nm of torque and 800W of peak power, with an ultra-fast 0.24-second response time to full torque. The result is immediate, lag-free assistance that closely follows rider input, making steep climbs and technical terrain feel manageable and controlled. Embolden E+ 2 is equipped with the SyncDrive Sport 3 motor, providing up to 85Nm of torque for smooth, dependable support across trekking routes, gravel roads, and light to moderate trail riding.

Featuring Smart Assist, the system automatically manages motor support using six sensors that monitor rider input, cadence, speed, and terrain load. By continuously adapting power output in real time, it delivers efficient assistance while preserving a smooth, natural ride feel. Paired with EnergyPak Smart 800Wh or 625Wh batteries (model dependent), the system supports a real-world trail range of approximately 50–120 km, with the option to add an EnergyPak Plus 250 range extender for longer adventures.

Suspension capability takes a major step forward with 150mm of front-wheel travel and 140mm of rear-wheel travel, giving the Embolden E+ the composure and control needed for more technical trails. The updated FlexPoint suspension system delivers fully active, ground-tracking rear suspension, while refined kinematics and tuned anti-rise help maintain balanced geometry and rear-wheel traction under hard braking. The lightweight ALUXX SL-grade aluminum frame keeps handling intuitive and manageable, especially on climbs.

On Embolden E+ 1 and 2, suspension performance is further elevated with e-optimized Giant Crest suspension components, including the STL 36 fork and Crest Flotrac rear shock. Specifically tuned for the added weight and power of the Embolden E+, this unified suspension system delivers consistent support, controlled traction, and predictable handling across a wide range of trail conditions. A simplified setup approach keeps riders consistently in the suspension’s sweet spot, reducing guesswork and improving confidence on the trail.

System settings and customization are handled through the new RideControl Dash 2, featuring a 1.5-inch, high-resolution color display integrated cleanly into the handlebar and grip. Color-coded assist modes and customizable data fields make it easy to manage support levels and ride information at a glance. Riders can further fine-tune motor performance, assist ratios, and responsiveness using the RideControl app, tailoring the bike to terrain, fitness, and riding style.

Designed for long-term ownership, the Embolden E+ features internal cable routing for easier service and cleaner aesthetics, along with durable system integration across motor, battery, and software. The E+ system is fully supported through Liv’s global retailer network, with access to diagnostics, firmware updates, and expert service to keep the bike performing at its best over time. The in-house developed, industry leading battery chemistry supports up to 2,300 charge cycles, improving longevity and resale value, while integrated safety features—including Aegis tire pressure monitoring, e-locking, and Apple Find My compatibility—add peace of mind at home, during transport, and on the trail.

The Embolden E+ will be available in frame sizes XS, S, M, and L. Pricing for the UK hasn’t been released yet, but Liv France has the bikes starting at €4,000.
