Liverpool are back in action on Saturday when they host West Ham United in the Premier League.
The Reds’ defence of their Premier League crown hasn’t gone to plan so far, and Arne Slot’s side now face a battle to secure a top four spot and qualification for next term’s Champions League.
Last time out, the Merseyside outfit beat struggling Nottingham Forest 1-0 courtesy of Alexis Mac Allister’s late winner, keeping the reigning champions within touching distance of fourth-placed Manchester United.
Now, it has emerged that Liverpool are one of two huge Premier League sides chasing a Serie A star.
As per CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and rivals Manchester City are monitoring Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso.
The report claims that the two English sides are joined by Spanish giants Real Madrid in admiring the Italian, who is making a name for himself in Turin.

Cambiaso joined the Old Lady from fellow Italian side Genoa back in 2022 and had since enjoyed a loan spell at Bologna.
In total the 26-year-old has now made 120 appearances for Juventus across all competitions, including 35 so far this term.
The report claims, however, that his impressive displays for Juve have attracted the interest of several top European sides.
It is claimed that Juventus view Cambiaso as a key player and someone who can play an important role for the club for years to come.
The Italian’s versatility is particularly useful to his current side, with the former Genoa man capable of operating on either flank or even in midfield if required.
Cambiaso – who has been capped 19 times by Italy – was said to be the subject of interest and offers from unnamed clubs in January, and Juventus are likely to be equally reluctant to sell the player when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
