Liverpool’s season went from bad to worse on Saturday as they drew 3-3 against Leeds United at Elland Road.
That result means the Reds have now won just two of their last ten Premier League matches, leaving the reigning champions ninth in the table.
After the match, talisman Mohamed Salah shocked supporters by claiming that ‘someone doesn’t want (him) in the club’, as reported by BBC Sport.
Salah also mentioned the breakdown of his relationship with Slot, with the Egyptian having started on the bench for each of Liverpool’s last three Premier League games.
In the wake of his comments, Salah has been left out of Liverpool’s travelling squad for their game against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Now, it appears that Liverpool are keeping a close eye on a Bundesliga star.
As per CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Manchester City have stepped up their respective interest in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande in recent months.
Then report claims that the Ivorian has emerged on the radar of most top European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds and the Citizens have both sent scouts to watch the player in action in recent weeks.
Diomande, 19, joined Leipzig from Spanish side Leganes over the summer and has enjoyed a fine start to life in Germany.
The winger has scored seven goals and provided a further four assists in 15 games so far for Leipzig, but his displays haven’t gone unnoticed and several sides are now said to be in the running to land the player.
Diomande signed a long-term deal when joining Leipzig over the summer and is therefore under contract until the end of the 2029/30 campaign.
