Alexis Mac Allister’s late goal earned Liverpool a huge victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, boosting their chances of finishing in the top four in the Premier League.
The midfielder had already had one goal disallowed for handball, but he once again found the back of the net in the 97th minute to earn the Reds three important points and spark jubilant scenes in the away end at The City Ground.
Liverpool remain sixth in the top flight table but are now level on points with Chelsea, who occupy fourth place.
While the Reds’ hopes of defending their Premier League crown are almost certainly over, Arne Slot will be desperate to see his side finish in the top four and secure qualification for next season’s Champions League.
Off the pitch, it has now emerged that one of Liverpool’s longest-serving players could depart Anfield this summer.
According to CaughtOffside, defender Andy Robertson’s future on Merseyside is entering a ‘delicate’ phase.
The Scot’s contract with Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, and it is currently unclear whether or not he will remain at the club beyond this summer.

Robertson, 31, joined the Reds from Hull City back in 2017 and went on to establish himself as one of the best left-backs in Europe, emerging as a key player under former manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Scotland international has provided 68 assists in 367 games for the Reds across all competitions, but his playing time has decreased significantly this term following the arrival of Milos Kerkez last summer.
So far this term, Robertson has started just five of Liverpool’s 27 Premier League games, with Kerkez having established himself as Slot’s first choice on the left side of defence.
Despite his recent dip in performances, Robertson is said to have attracted interest from Premier League sides Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa.
Scottish giants Celtic and Spanish outlet Atletico Madrid are also said to be in the running to land the full-back.
