Liverpool will hope to continue their push for a place in the top four of the Premier League when they host West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

Arne Slot’s side battled to a hard-fought 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest in their last outing, with Alexis Mac Allister’s goal deep into added time earning the visitors all three points at The City Ground.

The Reds sit sixth in the Premier League table but are now just three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who moved into the top four courtesy of a 1-0 win over Everton on Monday night.

Away form the action, one member of Slot’s squad continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield, however it now appears that he could soon commit his future to the Reds.

According to TEAMtalk, midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is on course to sign a new contract with Liverpool despite being continuously linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The report claims that the Hungarian midfielder remains committed to the Merseyside outfit, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

Szoboszlai, 25, joined Liverpool from German side RB Leipzig back in 2023 and has since made 130 appearances for the club across all competitions, establishing himself as a key player for the club.

The Hungary international was instrumental to Liverpool’s Premier League triumph last season, and has also featured 36 times already this season, scoring ten goals and providing seven assists.

It is claimed that Liverpool are willing to meet the player’s demands and talks over a new deal are set to take place in the coming weeks and months.

The report suggests that Szoboszlai is set to commit his long-term future to the club, with his new deal likely to make him one of the club’s highest paid players.
