The batting maestro Virat Kohli, who is also the leading run-scorer in IPL history, has created history by becoming the first player to hit 9000 runs for a single franchise.
He was 24-run short of the achievement before the start of the game against Lucknow Super Giants and he achieved the milestone by hitting a four against Avesh Khan’s short delivery. The 9000 runs, combining from IPL and now defunct CLT20.
