El Grande Ameicano, which is Ludwig Kaiser in a mask, appeared during the live episode of AAA this week. That turned some heads, because a lot of fans may not have expected to see much of him.
El Grande Americano and the OG El Grande Americano are set to throw down next week in a mask vs mask match. That luchador tradition match is still happening, even though Ludwig was recently arrested. It appears that this will not be a hindrance to book him.
Ludwig Kaiser was arrested in Orlando on May 20 over a misdemeanor battery charge tied to an alleged incident from April 23. According to the report, a neighbor confronted Kaiser and a woman for being overly intimate in an apartment elevator, which allegedly led to Kaiser following the man off the elevator, punching him multiple times, and threatening him. Police reportedly found injuries on the victim and reviewed security footage connected to the altercation.
Kaiser later found out about the warrant while working an AAA event in Mexico and flew back to Orlando to turn himself in. He was booked into Orange County Jail, released on a $1,000 bond, and has since pleaded not guilty through his attorney while also requesting permission to continue traveling internationally for wrestling appearances.
Ludwig Kaiser has appeared in Mexico since his arrest. It was previously announced that Kaiser will be back in Mexico for his appearances despite the controversy surrounding his name. Only time will tell how his mask vs mask match will turn out.
