The Janel Grant and Vince McMahon lawsuit continues to divide the wrestling world, and now the controversy has spilled into podcast territory.
During a recent episode of Off The Rails, host Jasmine St. Claire and JCW personality Mac Davis didn’t hold back while discussing the ongoing legal battle involving Grant and the former WWE Chairman. The conversation focused heavily on the non-disclosure agreement, the alleged payments, and whether breaking the NDA changed everything.
Mac Davis approached the topic from a business perspective, making it clear he views the situation through the lens of contract law. After referencing the agreement between the two parties, Davis said:
“She signed an NDA, so what’s the damn issue?”
He argued that the core of the dispute comes down to whether the agreement was upheld. If one side allegedly broke it, he believes that changes the entire financial obligation. When it was mentioned that Vince McMahon reportedly stopped paying after the story leaked publicly, Davis was careful to separate the legal contract discussion from any defense of criminal behavior, clarifying:
“If the business aspect of the agreement that was signed should simply be he keeps paying her, she keeps her mouth shut. That’s the agreement.”
“Once she broke that NDA by doing that, I wouldn’t have paid another penny either.”
“We’re not saying that you let a rapist get away with anything. I’m just looking at the business aspect of the agreement.”
Jasmine St. Claire, however, took a much more forceful position. She questioned why someone would sign an agreement and later speak out publicly if the terms were clear from the start.
“If you don’t like that agreement, don’t sign the damn NDA.”
She also argued that situations like this can impact how real victims are perceived, saying:
“Women who accuse men of rape and they have to go to jail for it. They should be held accountable and go to jail for that.”
The conversation also touched on the broader issue of reputational damage when accusations surface without criminal charges being filed. Davis pointed out that false allegations in other cases have destroyed lives.
“How many times have you heard the stories where somebody was in prison spent years in prison and then all of a sudden the person who claimed that they were assaulted now says, ‘Okay, I wasn’t telling the truth.’”
With Vince McMahon’s legal battle still unfolding and Janel Grant’s lawsuit continuing to make headlines in WWE news cycles, debates like this aren’t going away anytime soon.
What do you think about the NDA argument raised during the podcast? Should breaking a non-disclosure agreement void future payments, or does the bigger issue override the contract itself? Drop your thoughts below and let us know where you stand.
