Magomed Ankalaev had some words for Jiri Prochazka in the aftermath of UFC 327.
Prochazka shared the Octagon with Carlos Ulberg in hopes of becoming a two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Early on in the fight, Ulberg suffered a knee injury. While many felt this would be the beginning of the end for “Black Jag,” Prochazka got caught with a hook that sent him crashing down to the mat. Ulberg followed up with punches on the ground to seal the knockout win.
After the fight, Ankalaev poured salt in the wound by ripping Prochazka’s efforts in a series of posts on X.
“Jiri never talk about me again,” Ankalaev wrote. “You only can talk about me if you wanna fight. None of these guys are my level. Congratulation, Carlos. Prochazka been knocked out three of his last six fights. I don’t wanna hear his name anymore in the title picture enough is enough.”
When the dust settled, Prochazka claimed that he let his guard down because he saw that Ulberg was hurt. Ankalaev believes this is an excuse.
“He kept kicking Carlos’s legs,” Ankalaev continued. “He did not show him any mercy. Fake.”
There has been history of words being exchanged between Ankalaev and Prochazka. Back in Oct. 2025, Prochazka told Ariel Helwani that he considered confronting Ankalaev and his manager Ali Abdelaziz regarding comments made about him prior to UFC 320.
Prochazka even admitted he was rooting for Alex Pereira to defeat Ankalaev in their rematch. Ultimately. “Poatan” did stop Ankalaev via first-round TKO. Ankalaev hasn’t competed since, but perhaps a clash with Prochazka would make sense at this stage.
