Manchester City will hope to cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League by beating Newcastle United on Saturday night.
The Citizens currently sit five points behind the Gunners, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Wolves on Wednesday evening.
City host the Magpies prior to Arsenal’s meeting with Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby, meaning Pep Guardiola’s side could move to just two points behind the league leaders with a victory.
Ahead of the game, it has emerged that the fixture may give City an opportunity to see one of their transfer targets in action.
According to Football Insider, Man City are expected to make an attempt to sign Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento this summer.
The report claims that the Citizens have identified the Englishman as a transfer target and have been monitoring the player for some time now.

Livramento, 23, joined Newcastle from Southampton back in 2023 and has since established himself as a key player for the North East giants.
The defender’s next appearance for the club will be his 100th across all competitions, but it appears that Newcastle may face a battle to keep hold of the Englishman beyond the end of the current campaign.
The report suggests that the player could be keen to embark on a new challenge, particularly if Newcastle fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Livramento’s contract with the Magpies isn’t set to expire until the end of the 2027/28 season, but they may struggle to stop the player from pushing for a move to The Etihad if City do realise their interest.
City’s interest in Livramento stems from a lack of options at right-back in Guardiola’s squad, following the departure of Kyle Walker.
Midfielder Matheus Nunes has filled in as a makeshift right-back at this this term, but the report suggests that the Manchester giants are keen to add a natural full-back to their ranks this summer.
