Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola added yet another piece of silverware to his collection as his side beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

After a goalless first-half, Nico O’Reilly scored two headers in five minutes to put the Citizens in total control at Wembley.

The defeat ends the Gunners’ hopes of winning an unprecedented quadruple this season, while City will hope that the victory can also impact their pursuit of the Premier League title, with Mikel Arteta’s side currently nine points clear at the top of the standings.

Guardiola has now won no fewer than 29 trophies during his decade-long spell at The Etihad, and the Spaniard will be desperate to add at least one of the FA Cup or Premier League to that tally before the end of the season.

In the meantime, though, it appears that one of Guardiola’s most important players is considering his future ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

As reported by Spanish outlet Sport, via CaughtOffside, midfielder Bernardo Silva is considering a move away from Manchester City this summer.

The Portuguese midfielder joined the Citizens from Ligue 1 side Monaco back in 2017 and has since made 449 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 76 goals and providing 77 assists.

Silva has also lifted 18 trophies during his time in Manchester, but the Portugal international has frequently been linked with a move away form the club.

Spanish champions Barcelona are said to be long-term admirers of the 31-year-old, although it isn’t currently clear if the La Liga giants are planning a move to sign the player this summer.

It is claimed that Silva is aware that he may no longer fit into Barcelona’s midfield setup after changes in recent years, and the midfielder himself is currently seeking assurances in regard to game time before he makes a decision on his future.

Silva’s contract with the Citizens is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
