Manchester United will hope to stay in the race to qualify for the Champions League when they face Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
Ruben Amorim’s side have improved of late and currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, although they could move into the top four if they beat the Villans and other results go their way.
Villa will undoubtedly provide a stern test for Untied, though, with Unai Emery’s side having won ten of their last 11 games in the league.
The Villans sit third in the top flight standings, just three points behind leaders Arsenal.
In the meantime, it has emerged that United are preparing to overhaul Amorim’s squad during the upcoming January transfer window.
As per CaughtOffside, the Manchester outfit have drawn up a list of five players who could be offloaded in January.
The report claims that United are willing to allow midfielder Manuel Ugarte to depart Old Trafford, with the Uruguayan having struggled to find his best form since joining from French side Paris Saint-Germain in 2024.

It is claimed that Amorim is keen to add a different type of midfielder to his squad, and Ugarte could therefore be moved on if a suitable offer is received.
Fellow midfielder Mason Mount is another player who could depart, the report suggests, with the Englishman having struggled with injuries since a move from Chelsea two years ago.
Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir could also exit Old Trafford, it is claimed, with United keen to ensure the Turkey international’s value doesn’t diminish any further as he continues to primarily warm the bench.
Forward Joshua Zirkzee’s struggles since joining United from Bologna have been well-documented, and it is claimed that the Dutchman’s time at Old Trafford could finally come to an end next month.
The final name on United’s list of possible departures is full-back Tyrell Malacia, who has made just eight appearances for United since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
