New Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior will return to one of his former sides in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Rosenior oversaw a 5-1 third round win over Charlton Athletic in his first match in charge on Saturday night, and the Blues will now travel to face Hull City in the next round.
Next up for Chelsea is a Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against London rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, before Rosenior takes charge of his first Premier League match against Brentford on Saturday.
In the meantime, it is emerging that one of Chelsea’s fiercest rivals are plotting an audacious move to sign one of their most important players.
As per FootballTransfers, Manchester United are weighing up a shock move to sign Chelsea star Cole Palmer.
The 23-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City back in 2023, having featured 41 times for the Citizens across all competitions.
He made an instant impact at Stamford Bridge, netting 22 times and providing 11 assists in his debut Premier League campaign for the Blues.

Last term the England international registered a combined 32 goals and assists in 52 games for Enzo Maresca’s side across all competitions, but so far this term he has been hampered by injury.
He has played just 12 times across all competitions, scoring four goals, but wasn’t involved in Chelsea’s convincing win over the Addicks on Saturday.
According to the report, United have held internal talks about making a move to sign the Englishman, and it is also claimed that Chelsea would even be open to selling the player despite his importance to the club.
Palmer’s contract with the FIFA Club World Cup holders is set to run until the end of the 2032/33 campaign, which will likely put the Blues in a commanding position during any potential transfer negotiations.
