Manchester United will continue their pursuit of Champions League qualification when they face Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils have won five of their six Premier League matches since Michael Carrick was named as caretaker head coach last month, following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim.
Carrick oversaw a narrow 1-0 win over Everton on Monday evening, moving United into fourth place in the top flight standings.
United will be strong favourites to get the better of Palace, who have won just two of their last 12 games in the competition.
In the meantime, it is emerging that United have taken a firm stance on the future of one of their most high profile players.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are insisting that Barcelona meet the pre-agreed option-to-buy clause of around £26 million if they wish to sign Marcus Rashford permanently this summer.
Rashford is currently on loan at the Spanish side, having fallen out of favour at Old Trafford during Amorim’s time in charge of the club.

Since joining Barcelona, the Englishman has scored ten goals and provided 13 assists in 34 matches across all competitions, and Romano claims that the La Liga champions are keen to sign the attacker permanently.
Rashford had previously registered a combined 217 goals and assists in 426 games for United at senior level, having progressed from the club’s youth academy.
Romano claims that Barcelona are making progress in their efforts to agree personal terms with Rashford ahead of potentially signing the player permanently this summer.
The loan deal that took Rashford to Spain included an option-to-buy clause for a fee of around £26 million but, while Barcelona are keen to reduce that fee, United are said to be adamant that it must be met in order for the deal to happen.
