Manchester United are on course to finish in the top four in the Premier League and secure Champions League qualification.

The Red Devils have won seven of their ten games in the league since Michael Carrick was appointed as caretaker head coach in January, succeeding Ruben Amorin following the Portuguese’s dismissal.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Carrick will be appointed permanently, it is now emerging that those in charge of United’s recruitment have identified a Bundesliga full-back as one of their top transfer targets ahead of this summer’s window.

According to German outlet Fussballdaten, via GiveMeSport, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown is at the top of Manchester United’s list of targets as they search for a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw.

Brown, 22, has been impressing for Eintracht this season and looks increasingly likely to leave his current side this summer, with the report claiming that the Bundesliga outfit consider it ‘inevitable’ that he will depart.

The Germany international joined Frankfurt from fellow German side FC Nuremberg in 2024 and has since made 68 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering 13 assists.

Man United are said to be on the hunt for a long-term replacement for current left-back Shaw, who has struggled with injuries throughout his time at Old Trafford.

Brown has emerged at the top of their list of possible targets, but it is claimed that the German could cost as much as £52 million, which would make him one of the most expensive players in history in his position.

Arsenal academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly is also said to be of interest to Manchester United, with the England international having fallen somewhat out of favour under Mikel Arteta this term.
