Maple Leafs’ Nylander will play vs. Penguins, Domi and Myers re-enter lineup, Maccelli, Jarnkrok, Benoit out
Max Domi and Philippe Myers will re-enter the lineup Saturday. Domi was a healthy scratch on Friday for the first during his tenure with the Leafs. Myers is coming into the lineup to replace Simon Benoit, who flew home to attend a funeral.
“I don’t know if it is the defensive side of things,” Berube said of Domi on Thursday. “Positionally, he has been solid. I know his plus/minus doesn’t say that, but I wouldn’t say positioning causes a lot of that. It is just getting engaged more in the game. He has to get dirty down low in the offensive zone, get engaged that way, and get to the inside of the ice more. When he is skating and moving, he is an effective player, but it is too inconsistent.”
Domi recorded three goals and six points in 23 games this season. Myers did not record a point in 10 games this season, and this will be his first appearance since playing against the Chicago Blackhawks on November 15.
