Jon Moxley is known in AEW for his tough, hard-hitting style. During the February 18, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite, he showed that once again in the AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match against Mark Davis.
The match kicked off the show and was intense from the start. It was part of the ongoing rivalry between Moxley’s Death Riders group and The Don Callis Family. Both men landed heavy strikes.
In the middle of the match, Davis delivered a few hard chops to Moxley and then lifted him up, but Moxley slipped out and hit back with chops. Moxley then went for a sunset flip, but it didn’t land properly.
Davis then cornered Moxley and hit him with heavy forearms, and finished the sequence with a strong running forearm smash. After that, Moxley got out of the ring as Davis chased him. He then hit Moxley with chops and some punches.
Mark Davis’ Injured Hand Becomes Target in Match With Jon Moxley
Things took a nasty turn when Davis tried to punch Moxley near the corner. Moxley moved out of the way at the last second, and Davis’s hand slammed straight into the steel ring post. The impact split his hand open, and blood started pouring almost immediately.
Officials briefly checked on Davis, but Moxley didn’t slow down. Seeing the injury, he went right after the damaged hand. At ringside, he twisted Davis’ fingers and even bit the injured hand. He then placed it on the steel steps and stomped on it.
Mark Davis cracks the ring post. This is excellent match storytelling. Cracking the ring post, it stating to bleed, and Mox using that hand to take down such a bruiser on a tear right now #AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/VD5pd3vwEo

Even though he was in pain, Davis refused to quit.
The fight then went into the ring. Moxley tried to target the injured hand of Davis whenever he could. Davis escaped a sleeper but took a clothesline and a stomp for his troubles. He also tried to fight back and hit a piledriver. However, Moxley managed to kick out.
In the end, Moxley locked Davis in a tight Bulldog choke. With his injured hand unable to help him fight out, Davis had no choice but to tap out.
