A 48-year-old man who ran a circus school was convicted of criminal charges Friday for sexually assaulting two former students when they were teenagers, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz’s office announced.

Steven A. Santos, of Whitman, was found guilty of five counts of indecent assault and battery, 14 or older and one count of a lesser included offense of assault and battery after a week-long trial, Cruz’s office said in a statement. Jurors acquitted Santos of one count of assault and battery.
