The board meeting by International Cricket Council (ICC), which was held to decide the fate of Champions Trophy 2025, has been postponed and will be held again. Though some reports are mentioning that the meeting will take place on November 30, some meetings suggest that the meeting will be held any day soon.
Between all this uncertainty, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not moving away from their decision and are standing strong on their decision to host the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
As of now, there has no definitive decision been taken related to the Champions Trophy 2025. ICC aims to reach a positive resolution and ensure that the multi-nation event is going to be successfully executed.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already informer the ICC about their decision to not send Indian team to tour Pakistan. BCCI proposed a hybrid model for the tournament, where India will be playing their matches in UAE.
Pakistan have, however, maintained their stand and are insisting that the entire tournament should be held in their country. A meeting was held today to solve this issue, but no outcome could be reached. The schedule of the tournament was supposed to be released 100 days before the tournament, which has not been done. As a result, the tournament is facing delays and could even face legal threats from the broadcasters.
A potential voting process among the members might determine the final decision. The majority of the vote will be decisive, and then the PCB will have to adapt according to that.
