Oba Femi has the chance to have a career-making performance when he faces Brock Lesnar this April at WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
The match will be Femi’s first time competing on WWE’s grandest stage and has so far gotten the better of Lesnar on WWE programming.
On a recent edition of his “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy argued that Femi has a fantastic opportunity ahead of him. He said,
“I think too this is going to be like a career-defining moment for Oba. I mean, you know, they do this and he beats Brock and you know, it’s a career-defining moment. No doubt about it.”
Femi was moved to WWE’s main roster earlier this year. He is a two-time NXT Champion and the longest reigning NXT North American Champion.
WrestleMania 42 will be Lesnar’s first time competing on WWE’s grandest stage since his victory over Omos at WrestleMania 39 in 2023.
Lesnar was pulled from all WWE plans in early 2024 due to being referenced in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis.
The former WWE Universal Champion returned to programming at WWE SummerSlam 2025, attacking long-time rival John Cena.
