Matt Riddle Says He’d Wrestle Anyone In Real American Freestyle

Matt Riddle isn’t done chasing competition outside the ring, and he made it clear he’s open to stepping into a different kind of spotlight if the opportunity presents itself.

While speaking with Jimmy V3, the conversation turned to Real American Freestyle Wrestling (RAF), a growing platform that mixes amateur wrestling influence with major personalities from combat sports. Riddle was asked about the promotion and whether he would ever consider competing there. He responded enthusiastically, pointing to his background as a decorated amateur wrestler and his continued love for grappling competition.

“Well, I’ll wrestle anybody. You know, I really enjoy it. You know, I was a state national champion in high school, wrestled Division I a little bit before I started pursuing my career in mixed martial arts. But uh yeah, RAF — Real American Freestyle — is awesome. I’ve been to multiple shows live. I know a bunch of the people that wrestled there, people that work there, people that have been a part of it since day one.”

Riddle then made it clear that his interest goes beyond simply watching from the sidelines. He admitted he would welcome the chance to step onto that stage and prove himself once again.

“Yeah, I mean, I would love to get a match on RAF, you know… I guess I’m a little older, but I’m a beast, bro. I’m a beast. So we’ll see. All I can do is stay in shape and do my thing. Try to stay busy.”

With RAF gaining attention and more crossover athletes entering the scene, Riddle’s willingness to compete could easily turn into a major talking point if the opportunity ever materializes. His amateur wrestling pedigree and MMA background make him a natural fit for that kind of environment.

Riddle has never been shy about taking on new challenges, and his comments suggest he still has unfinished business when it comes to testing himself in competitive settings.
