Maxx Crosby reportedly would ‘love’ to play for this head coach

It’s been weeks since Maxx Crosby last played a down, but that may have been his last snap with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Crosby reportedly stormed out of the building when he was told he was going to be shut down for the final two games of the season.

Right away, rumors tying him to other teams flooded social media. Now, with NFL insider Jay Glazer reporting that Crosby is likely “done” with the Raiders, it looks more real than ever.

Considering that, NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the chances of Crosby leaving are growing, and he once told her the head coach he’d like to play for.

Maxx Crosby reportedly wants to play for Mike Vrabel

“Crosby once told me he’d love to play for Mike Vrabel, and it’s easy to see why they’d be a good match. The reality is, if Crosby does become available, the Patriots would be just one of many interested teams. It’s unclear how this will play out, but I’m increasingly skeptical he’ll play a down for Kubiak,” Russini wrote

Crosby is one of the best pass-rushers in the game, and it would reportedly take a package similar to the one the Green Bay Packers gave for Micah Parsons to land him.

It’s also worth noting that Crosby, a Michigan native, once gushed about Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions, and another report suggests that’s still his preferred trade destination.

Per Russini, the Raiders won’t stand in his way if he truly wants to leave, and multiple teams should be interested in his services. Whether they would have more to give or more wiggle room to accommodate his $30M salary than the Patriots remains to be seen.
