Mayank Yadav Declared Fully Fit After Injury Comeback

After the Zimbabwe series, Team India is all set to tour Sri Lanka for a white ball series. The upcoming schedule is tight for the tram. Before that, there is good news for the team. Young speedster Mayanks Yadav who sustained injury in IPL 2024, has fully recovered from Injury and is fully fit now. This is a great sign. 

Mayank Yadav’s Injury:

Mayank made his IPL debut for LSG against the Punjab Kings this season, making a strong impression by taking three wickets for just 27 runs. His impressive speed also drew attention. His speed of over 150 kmph was shocking to everyone. Lucknow Super Giants found a gem in him this season. Unfortunately, he got injured while playing against the Gujarat Titans, causing him to miss a few games.

He returned to play for LSG in their 2024 IPL match against MI, where he bowled out Mohammad Nabi with a brilliant delivery in the 18th over. However, he experienced discomfort and left the field, lest the field and didn’t see bowling furtherly in that match. Following this, Mayank missed the rest of the IPL season and went to the NCA to start his rehab and recover from the injury.

The Speedstar is Fully Fit:

Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav has fully recovered from the injury that ended his IPL 2024 season early. Although he is now fit, he will remain at the National Cricket Academy for the next three to four weeks to continue his rehab. He said, “I have fully recovered but will be in NCA for the next three-four weeks more.”

There were rumors that Yadav might be included in India’s squad for the upcoming series in Sri Lanka, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs. However, his extended stay at the NCA suggests he may not be fit for selection. The squad hasn’t been announced yet, but reports say Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah will be rested.
