Michael Page has the potential to win a UFC title, says UFC commentator

UFC commentator Jon Anik believes that Michael Page, aka MVP, has the potential to win a world title in the promotion.

Last weekend, Michael Page managed to pick up yet another win in the Ultimate Fighting Championship when he was able to beat former training partner Sam Patterson at UFC London. Unfortunately, the win didn’t quite blow the masses away, and it was instead deemed to be pretty boring.

Despite that, Page still has a great deal of supporters who want to see him succeed, especially given some of the problems he’s had recently with the UFC. In terms of what’s next, though, it’s hard to say, mainly because they couldn’t even seem to get him booked prior to the Patterson fight actually being announced.

In a recent podcast, the aforementioned Jon Anik weighed in on what he thinks the best option is for Page, and even acknowledged the problems he’s had with the UFC.

Anik’s view on Page’s title chances

“What do you do with MVP? He goes and beats Jared Cannonier at 185 (pounds), but I think the championship run is going to be at 170,” Anik said on his “Anik & Florian Podcast.” “I mean, I don’t know the extent to which the UFC is in the MVP business, but what do you do with him because he can win a title, I think, if he gets the right matchups.”

“I think he should be getting the biggest possible fights and not, you know, his teammates like Sam Patterson, to be sure,” Anik said.
