The TNA Hall of Famer made her comeback at the No Surrender special, confronting The Elegance Brand after Ash by Elegance helped Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance retain the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles against Indi Hartwell and Xia Brookside. The situation quickly broke down into a brawl, with James joining forces with Hartwell and Brookside to even the odds.
That tension carried over into the February 19 episode of TNA iMPACT. During a singles match between Indi Hartwell and Heather by Elegance, Ash by Elegance was on commentary and took the opportunity to directly call out Mickie James for the February 26 show, signaling that a showdown is now on the horizon.
Hartwell went on to pick up the win over Heather, giving her side some momentum, but the bigger story coming out of the night is the challenge issued to James.
With Mickie James now firmly back in the mix and The Elegance Brand continuing to push their dominance, the stage is set for a major confrontation next week as this rivalry continues to escalate.
