A massive crash on the last jump on the Red Bull Hardline Tasmania track has left Mille Johnset of Nukeproof Axess Racing with a broken collarbone and concussion. The 3rd person view of the crash is shown in this clip posted by Ed Masters. In the clip, you can see a touch of headwind catching the windsock, which likely contributed to Johnset coming up a bit short.
Mille Johnset, a Norwegian racer for Nukeproof Axess Racing, was on a mad run during practice and was looking in good form for finals. After checking off all the features on the course with confidence, Johnset came up short on the finish line jump, which bucked her over the bars to the base of the jump, leaving her with a concussion and broken collarbone. “WOW WHAT A SICK DAY! Had the best day ever, until it was suddenly over,” said Johnset on Instagram after the crash. “I managed to do every single feature from the highway down, but when it came to the last jump, I just came up a bit short and went over the bars.”
Mille Johnset seems to be in good spirits following the crash and took to Instagram to give fans an update. We’re super bummer to see her miss out on her first Hardline and wish her a speedy recovery!
