The Millennium Supporters Union of Ghana (MISUGHA) has officially inaugurated its Volta Regional Chapter in a vibrant and historic ceremony held on Friday, February 14, 2026, at the auditorium of Mawuli Senior High School in Ho. The event, marked by energy, unity, and powerful displays of passion for Ghana football, brought together supporters, executives, and key stakeholders from across the country.
Ahead of the main inauguration, two branches were also successfully launched on the same day. The first was the Ho Asogli Branch, inaugurated at the revered Asogli Palace, while the Ho Branch followed at the Mawuli Senior High School auditorium. The dual inaugurations set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable day for supporters in the region.
The occasion attracted top dignitaries and football stakeholders, including MISUGHA National President Abubakar Dawud, Founder of MISUGHA and President of the Ghana Supporters Union, Alhaji Issaka Polo 4040, Member of Parliament for Ho Central Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, and National Coordinator of the Ghana Supporters Union Alhaji Guntu. Several regional executives and supporters also graced the colorful gathering, demonstrating strong national support for the Volta chapter.
The newly inaugurated Volta Regional Chapter will be co-chaired by Madam Aku-Sika Kpene, who currently serves as Welfare Officer of Cabfix Ladies FC, and Madam Dorothy Akpene Aheto. In her address, Madam Aku-Sika Kpene highlighted the immense contribution of the Volta Region to sports development in Ghana. She expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders and assured the gathering of plans to expand MISUGHA’s presence through the establishment of more branches across the region.
Adding her voice, Dorothy Akpene Aheto thanked all dignitaries, supporters, and partners for their unwavering commitment and wished everyone a safe journey back to their various destinations.
National President Abubakar Dawud praised the Volta Region for its uniqueness, strong unity, and exceptional dedication to the supporters’ movement. He also extended special gratitude to Mr. William Donwill, owner of Donwill Hotel, for his immense contribution towards ensuring a peaceful and successful programme.
The National Patron of MISUGHA, Clemence Adonu, who also doubles as Deputy CEO of African Village, delivered words of encouragement and guidance to the executives. He urged them to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the growth of supporters’ culture in Ghana.
The ceremony was characterized by electrifying jama sessions, traditional displays, and moments of camaraderie, reflecting the passion and vibrant spirit of Ghanaian football supporters. The successful inauguration marks a significant step in strengthening supporters’ organization and promoting football unity in the Volta Region and beyond.
