MJF Reveals The Five Legends He’d Keep Watching Forever

Maxwell Jacob Friedman sparked another round of debate while speaking on the LNG Productions podcast, after he was hit with a simple but tough question — if he could only watch five wrestlers for the rest of his life, who would make the cut?

The AEW World Champion didn’t rush the answer, making it clear that narrowing wrestling history down to just five names wasn’t easy. Still, his picks quickly showed exactly what he values most — charisma, star power, and performers who knew how to control a crowd.

While working through the question about limiting his wrestling viewing to only five performers, MJF admitted the decision was difficult before revealing the names he ultimately chose.

“Got to watch those five guys the rest of your life… I hate his guts. And he’s a piece of shit — but CM Punk… Yeah, it’s so many great matches and some great MJF stuff too. Well, yeah. Now I can genuinely say I look back on that and I think I’m way more of a complete package now than I was then. Um it just comes with maturity. But God, this is so hard. Steve Austin’s going to be my number two. My number three is going to be Rock. My number four is going to be Piper… I guess my one work rate guy, even though he also was an incredible specimen and charisma machine, would be Shawn. So those those are my five I think — which pains me because Eddie Guerrero is like right there, but you’re telling me five and if it was six I’d pick Eddie.”

The list pulled together some of the biggest names the business has ever seen, with each one known for leaving a lasting mark on wrestling history. Even with those choices locked in, MJF made it clear that leaving Eddie Guerrero off the list wasn’t something he felt great about, showing just how tough the decision really was.

Fans have always loved debating “all-time great” lists, and MJF’s picks are guaranteed to get people talking. With legends from different eras included, the discussion around who belongs — and who doesn’t — is likely to keep going long after the interview aired.
