Mohammad Shami’s VIRAL Meme Trend at NCA going Viral

One of India’s pacer, Mohammad Shami funnily joined in on a viral social media trend ‘Cheen Tapak Dum Dum’ along with his younger teammates at the NCA. Shami is currently in rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, as he recovers from his ankle injury. The viral video clip features appearances of Sarfaraz Khan, Kuldeep Sen, Avesh Khan, Tilak Verma, Shardul Thakur, and Karan Aujla.

For those who are not familiar, ‘Cheen Tapak Dum Dum’ is a line that originates from a well-known kids animated show ‘Chhota Bheem’. It was the catchphrase of a villain named Takiya, who showed his magic abilities. In the past couple weeks, this catchphrase has got significant popularity as a meme on social media.

Shami captioned his post: “Catching the trend wave; Cheen Tapak Dum Dum. Tune in and vibe with us.”

Shami has made significant progress in his recovery from ankle surgery, which caused him to miss the IPL and T20 World Cup. According to ESPNcricinfo, Shami is expected to be in the front of the line for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh in September. The report also mentioned that in order to prove his fitness, Shami could participate in the Duleep Trophy.

“Shami has started to bowl which is a good sign. September 19 is the first Test and that was always the goal. I don’t know if that is timeline for recovery, will have to ask the guys as the NCA about that,” chief selector Ajit Agarkar said while giving an update on Shami’s recovery.
