The unique finish features exposed and anodized titanium, highlighting the natural character of the frame material. But most notably, it is how much exposed titanium you don’t see thanks to the black Cerakote finish. Moots has been handcrafting titanium bikes since 1981, and is offering this limited edition finish across its entire bike line as a way to mark almost half a century of frame building.
The 45th anniversary bikes feature a distinctive black Cerakote finish over most of the frame. With the strategic areas of titanium exposed, this creates a clean, purposeful look.
The Black Cerakote finish matches the titanium frame’s durability and corrosion-free properties. For the exposed titanium sections and anodized accents, customers can choose between pink and bronze accent colors.
You know I love an understated aesthetic when it comes to bicycles. So to me, the coolest thing about the new limited finish is the vintage-inspired wordmark and custom anniversary emblem that reference the company’s history.
Moots aren’t cheap, and neither is this finish. The finish adds an additional $1,200 over base pricing. This positions it as even more of a premium option alongside Moots’ other specialty finishes. As mentioned before, the anniversary treatment is available on frames across their gravel, road, and mountain bike categories.
If you don’t want to splurge for the 45th Anniversary Custom Finish, it’s OK, you’ll still get something to commemorate the occasion. Every Moots frame sold in 2026 will automatically include a celebratory 45th anniversary emblem on the seat tube.
And if neither the 45th Anniversary finish nor the 45th anniversary emblem floats your boat, you can opt out and go for the standard “Mr. Moots” logo instead.
