Moses Itauma weighed in over 16 pounds lighter than Jermaine Franklin, ahead of their heavyweight clash in Manchester on Saturday.
Itauma risks his number one rankings with both the WBO and WBA when he faces Franklin at the Co-op Live, live on DAZN.
Itauma tipped the scales at 242.1lbs, just over three pounds lighter than he weighed against Dillian Whyte in August.
Franklin hit the scales at 258.lbs, a couple of pounds heavier than he came in prior to his win over Ivan Dychko in September.
Itauma, seen by many as the future of the heavyweight division, is expected to face a tough test against the American, who hasn’t been stopped in two previous defeats.
The visitor took both Whyte and Anthony Joshua the distance in defeat, but is a major underdog to hand the 21-year-old a first professional loss.
“He’s never been in deep waters,” the 32-year-old told DAZN.
“So it’ll be a different territory for him.
“I’ve been in deep waters a couple of times.
“So I know how it is, how it feels, so I think going to deep waters benefits me more.”

Itauma is yet to go past six rounds in his 13-fight professional career and produced a career-best victory in August, stopping Whyte in the opening round in Riyadh.
The Kent man has been linked with a future clash with unified heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, although the Ukrainian great has ruled out a future match-up.
“Three fights [remaining],” the 39-year-old told Inside The Ring.
“I don’t want to fight with Itauma, because it’s a young guy.
“I don’t want to break this guy.
“He’s a guy like me.”
