Key Insights: The Most Prolific 50 Consecutive Innings Ever in T20Is
Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan leads the run tally, having aggregated 2342 runs between innings number 16 and 65. During this prolific run of form, Rizwan went past the 50 mark in an innings 22 times, including the only century he scored against South Africa at Lahore. He averaged 60.05 during this phase while batting at a strike rate of 130.40.
The only other batters to have amassed 2000 or more runs in 50 successive T20I innings are Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. While the former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam made 2080 at a strike rate of 131.31 and averaged 48.37 in between innings 14 & 63, Virat Kohli just about crossed the mark. The latter had a strike rate of 141.05 during this phase.

Consistency: Batters Exceeding the 1600-Run Mark
A total of 23 batters have scored 1600 runs in a given sequence of 50 T20I knocks for their respective nation. Apart from the 10 being listed here, these 13 batters have had a prolific time when it comes to batting in T20I cricket. They are:

Virat Kohli’s batting average of 60.91 is the highest for batters with a minimum of 1600 runs in their 50 successive T20I outings. He made 2010 runs in between his 21st and 70th T20I innings for India.
Rizwan’s average of 60.05 makes him the second best in this regard behind Kohli, though the former leads the run tally in 50 successive T20I innings.
Apart from these two batters, none of the others averaged above 50 in a given sequence of 50 consecutive innings. However, there are six batters with an average of 45 or more, namely: Babar Azam (48.37), Suryakumar Yadav (47.10), Jos Buttler (47.21), Sami Sohail (48.69), Virandeep Singh (45.41), and Muhammad Tanveer (45.33).

When it comes to strike rate for batters with a minimum of 1600 runs in 50 consecutive T20I innings, India’s Suryakumar Yadav tops the charts. The current Indian skipper had a whopping strike rate of 168.63 in between the 17th and 66th innings, while hammering 1978 runs at an average of 47.10.
The player with the next best strike rate is Glenn Maxwell. The Aussie all-rounder batted with a strike rate of 161.14 in between the 14th and 63rd innings, while piling up 1605 runs in that phase.
The other players who batted with a strike rate of 150 or more are: Muhammad Waseem (156.72), Jos Buttler (152.15), Rohit Sharma (151.93), Sikandar Raza (153.56), and Aaron Finch (158.97).

The Pakistani duo of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have scored the most number of 50-plus scores during their best 50-inning period in T20I cricket. One of the most prolific opening pairs in the format, both Babar and Rizwan have 22 fifty-plus scores each.
